61 Sounds including 25 Short Phrase Sounds
The microPIANO comes well equipped with 61 vibrant and authentic sounds. Keyboard sounds go beyond the traditional pianos to include electric pianos, harpsichords, accordion, celeste, organs, clavs, toy pianos, and more! Outside of the keyboard family, there are also flutes, strings, harps, bells, and mallet percussion sounds – marimbas, vibes, steel drums, even kalimbas and music boxes!

Of these 61 sounds, 25 are "Short Phrase Sounds" that can automatically generate phrases simply by holding down a key. For example, these include piano sounds that provide a left-hand accompaniment in the lower range, allowing you to play the melody line with your right hand; organ sounds complete with phrases from famous pipe organ compositions; or even accompaniment phrases as often used by hand-cranked barrel organs. Sounds such as toy piano and steel drum offer phrases mimicking the playing techniques unique to those instruments, and can be used as sound effects or as creative ideas. Using these Short Phrase Sounds can allow even the novice player to easily create a satisfying performance.



Entertaining Demo Songs
The microPIANO contains 40 demonstration songs featuring mainly classical compositions. Listen to these as demo songs, or enjoy them as background music in your room, just as you would listen to a CD or MP3 player. The demonstration songs can be played using the pre-assigned sounds, or you can play the same song using a different sound.

The digital piano that's easy to use, yet captures the essential elements of a piano
The simple SP-170 piano achieved popularity thanks to its focus on the pianistic essentials of sound and playing touch. Now, the SP-170S moves the rear-mounted power switch and volume knob to the front panel, ensuring easy operation by those who may be using a digital piano for the first time. Two new buttons – Sound and Piano Play – have been added. Pressing the Sound button lets you access and select one of the ten keyboard sounds; the Piano Play button quickly selects the Piano 1 sound, so great piano sound is always just one button press away!

The SP-170S features a duo of concert grand piano sounds, each lavishly recorded with meticulous care. Numerous velocity layers are used to capture nuances of playing dynamics, allowing the instrument to respond expressively to every delicate touch. In addition, sounds such as electric piano, harpsichord, and organ are also provided, delivering a total of ten premium sounds at your fingertips.

Our new Natural Weighted Hammer Action (NH) keyboard is accurately weighted like a traditional piano, with a heavier touch in the lower ranges and becoming progressively lighter in the higher registers. Three levels of Key Touch Control allow the keyboard response to be matched to nearly any playing style, preserving all of the subtle expression of the original performance.

New speaker system delivers improved sound
The SP-170S features an enhanced speaker system, with two oval speakers (10 cm x 5 cm) generating sounds that are surprisingly spacious for the system's size. Along with the improved speaker quality, the structure of the piano itself has been redesigned to improve the resonance and tone, providing an even more powerful sound.

Reverb and Chorus effects
Individually selectable Reverb and Chorus effects add an extra dimension to the SP-170S's sound. The Reverb provides a lush spaciousness. The Chorus effect adds motion and warmth to the sound.

Dual headphone outputs
The rear panel provides two headphone jacks, allowing two people to enjoy the sound simultaneously. This is ideal for playing duets or sharing songs with a friend; in addition, parent and child or student and teacher can share a lesson with complete privacy. Korg brings a heightened level of realism and feel to its line of portable digital pianos with the new SP-250.The SP-250 provides an expanded range of expression and performance with an outstanding new stereo piano sound, which is matched to a third-generation RH3 graded action keyboard. The SP-250 Digital Piano is the perfect answer for any pianist looking for rich piano sounds and the convenience of a lightweight, portable instrument.
Superb Piano Sound
The robust sound of a concert grand piano has been carefully and lavishly sampled for the SP-250. Differences in playing dynamics and position in the stereo field have been faithfully captured, delivering naturally expressive piano sounds that recreate every detail. The SP-250’s all-new piano samples are longer than other pianos in its class. Increased length means the piano sound sustains more naturally, so the piano sounds more real throughout the performance, not just at the attack. Three versions of this wonderful piano sound are provided to cover different tastes and genre needs. To round out the piano offerings, the SP-250 also features a vintage electric grand sound, as well as an authentic honky-tonk piano.
Grand Piano Playing Experience
The SP-250 is the first Korg digital piano to feature the all new RH3 real weighted hammer action. This state-of-the-art key mechanism features differing key weights in each register of the keyboard, delivering the same playing experience as a grand piano. The keyboard is exceptionally responsive, even when playing quickly repeated figures, to preserve every expressive nuance of the performer. The Key Touch Control provides three selectable touch curves, delivering the perfect touch sensitivity for every playing style or type of song. Yet even with such a robust keyboard, the SP-250 weighs less than 42 pounds (19 kg.).
A Wide Palette of Sounds
In addition to its remarkable new piano sound, the SP-250 includes a rich array of sounds that will extend your performance possibilities. An assortment of classic electric pianos (reed and tine styles), church and jazz organs, string and choir sounds, harpsichord and clav(s), even mallet percussion and guitar sounds are available at the touch of a button. Two sounds can be layered together to play simultaneously; and of course you can adjust the balance to get the perfect blend. To help you audition the sounds 30 demonstration songs ranging from classics to originals are built in, showing off all the sounds in a variety of musical genres.
Dual Effects
To further enhance the sound, the SP-250 provides both a Reverb effect that recreates the spaciousness of a concert hall, and a Chorus effect that adds a colorful depth to the sound. The effects settings have been optimized for each individual sound and the user can choose from three levels - light, normal and deep to complement his or her performance.

The chic black design is highlighted by metal and wood-grain accents, with a solid music rack included that mounts in seconds. The SP-250 contains a custom system featuring two 10 cm dual-cone speakers matched to a pair of 11W amplifiers that beautifully reproduces its rich sounds. The bass-reflex speaker system ensures that every bit of the deep resonances distinctive to a great piano will be heard.
Stand and Pedal Included
The SP-250 includes a high-quality damper pedal that is so important for proper piano performance. It provides the ultimate expressive control thanks to half-pedaling, which is a variable damping effect based on how deep you press the pedal, rather than the simple on/off switch found on cheaper instruments. The dedicated stand is both simple and stylish, and fits securely into a recessed area in the bottom of the piano providing a remarkably solid feel. The stand’s lower crossbar even prevents the pedal from creeping forward in performance. Best of all, the SP-250 can be easily removed from the stand for moving and taking around for live performances.
Convenient Features
Two headphones can be connected simultaneously, for student and teacher use or family enjoyment. Thanks to stereo outputs, you can listen to the sounds of the SP-250 through external speakers, great for professional performances, schools and places of worship, and for recording purposes. MIDI In/Out jacks connect the SP-250 to a synthesizer or other MIDI-equipped device (computer/sequencer) allowing the SP-250 to be used as both a master keyboard and a 16-part multitimbral sound module for performance and composition.
The Key Transpose function lets you shift the pitch of the instrument to match the key of a singer, or to play along with your favorite CDs. An onboard Metronome is convenient for practicing. You can add an accent to the first beat (with normal or bell sounds), and adjust its volume. There's also a dedicated slider for easy adjustment of the tempo.
In addition to equal temperament, the SP-250 provides the two most common Baroque and Classical era tunings (Kirnberger and Werckmeister) for historically-accurate performances.

The LP-350 is designed to visually complement nearly any living space. Less than 28 cm deep, the slim-line styling is both space-saving and efficient. When not in use, the thoughtful design leaves a smooth, flat top with absolutely no protruding hinges, allowing the LP-350 to become part of your room’s decor. Yet in spite of its slim-line profile, the LP-350 is equipped to provide a robust and accurate piano performance, complete with a grand-touch action, all three pedals, and a powerful speaker system to deliver a rich piano sound.

The samples were captured at multiple velocity levels, so subtle variations in expression will be naturally reflected in the piano sound you hear. The LP-350 extends beyond piano to include a rich variety of sounds thirty in all! In addition, the Layer mode allows two sounds to be played simultaneously; and of course the balance between the two sounds is adjustable.

The LP-350 features our finest piano touch and feel, using our RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action 3). Just as on a traditional grand piano, the keyboard provides a heavier playing touch in the lower register, becoming progressively lighter towards the upper keys. Refinements designed for capturing rapidly repeated strikes ensure that the pianist's expressive abilities will not be impaired even during fast passages. Three levels of touch sensitivity are available using the Key Touch Control function, allowing you to customize the dynamic response to your own playing style. As a measure of environmental responsibility, Korg does not use lead in the keyboard hammers.
Powerful speaker system generates rich, vibrant sound.
The internal stereo sound system features two large 10 cm speakers powered by a pair of 11 watt amplifiers. These speakers are housed in a bass-reflex enclosure, providing extended low-end response for a deep, full sound. The position of the speaker enclosure below the keyboard allows the sound to envelope the entire piano, creating a more natural resonance.
Premium pedal performance
Pedals are an indispensible part of piano performance, and the LP-350 provides the same three pedals found on a concert grand piano: damper, soft, and sostenuto. Both the damper and soft pedals support half-pedaling to allow more subtle expressive touches. The entire pedal unit can be repositioned on the piano, providing extra support when used free-standing, or offering a more compact footprint when placed against a wall or partition.
Additional features to enhance your performance enjoyment
Effects: The LP-350 features on-board effects to enhance the sound; reverb to add depth and ambience, and chorus to motion and fullness. The depth for each effect is independently adjustable.
Metronome: The metronome is convenient for practice and learning. The tempo can be set by the slider, or a specific tempo may be entered manually. In addition, the meter/time signature is also selectable, with a selectable accent (standard or bell) to mark the downbeat. The metronome volume can be freely set.
Key Transpose: The musical key of the LP-350 can be quickly set, to allow familiar fingerings while sounding different keys.
Temperaments: In addition to equal temperament and piano stretch-tunings, you can choose from two historical temperaments (Kirnberger and Werckmeister) for historically-correct performances.
Demo songs: Thirty demonstration songs ranging from classical to originals can be individually selected, or listened to in series.
MIDI connectors: The LP-350 provides both IN and OUT jacks that support MIDI, the standard way to transfer performance data between electronic musical instruments and computers.
